Drilling a Water Well for Displaced People in the Gaza Strip

The Gaza Palestinian American Association has launched a project to construct a water well in the Al-Mawasi area of Khan Younis Governorate, in order to serve both residents and displaced people in the area with access to water, as it is one of the regions where water is difficult to obtain.

Residents and displaced families in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis are in urgent need of such projects, which help provide the most basic necessities of life and support their essential living conditions.

Water Project Information

This project contributes to providing water for residents and displaced families in the area where it has been implemented and developed. It will supply water to 1,000 families, approximately 5,000 individuals, in the targeted area. The aim is to cover all their daily water needs, which represents one of the project’s key objectives.

Impact and Results

Such projects have a significant impact on the lives of residents and displaced families, particularly by providing them with a continuous supply of water. The free distribution of water is one of the most essential needs for displaced people at present, especially in light of rising prices and the scarcity of safe drinking water.

Nevertheless, the impact of this project is substantial, as it ensures access to clean drinking water and relieves a major burden placed on families.
